That's what I'm hoping for, but with a lil engineer on the way, I dunno how possible a NSC will be with an infant. I might be able to talk the wife into sending me alone, who knows. SOMEday, I want to attend a convention!
I finally got to run on the Red Line Loop. Here my Texas Special with Frisco E-8s on the point, makes a station stop in Tulsa, just like the real deal. Here I am going past ground zero at the Louisville depot. The Texas Special is hiding behind the container train.
Well... I didn't do as well as I would have liked but hey...good competition there. I did manage a 2nd place finish in the caboose category so all was not lost. Hope to see you, Pete, and others at future conventions. In the meantime, keep those great pics coming! Chad
I am planning on starting to grease the skids for a trip next year with the wife. Jeremiah, congrats on number two. When is your wife due? Now you will have a yard crew for operating sessions.
Great idea! I enjoyed looking at all those pictures. My computer didn't care for the webpage, though. I haven't updated IE so I got a snotty message encouraging me to switch to a better browser. So I used the wife's laptop. The Ntrak layout map was most impressive. Nobody got an aerial of the whole thing? Any idea how many trains were running silmultaneously?
There was a couple aerial photos taken, including a group photo of all the club members. I am sure those will start showing up soon.
I know some folks did. I showed Flash Blackman and Gordon Bliss the "secret" elevator to get up to a room with a window looking out over the entire exhibition hall. They were up there for a while and I waved at them while they were snapping away. Here are some more photos from my trip around the red line in the Texas Special.
Flash, The only problems I've heard about concern older browsers that are not compatible with the hosting site. Make sure your browser is up to date, like IE7, Safari 3 or the latest Firefox. If that doesn't help, try later. It might be too much traffic. If you still have trouble and want to post your pictures, email them to me and I'll post them for you.
Awesome pictures. I'm sorry I did not get on the forum before the Convention. I hope to get some pictures up on Paul's site sometime in my life. Can't do it this week because I have to sacrifice my life to the boss man. Joe. Thanks for your compliments to the KSONS. We worked our butts off for this! WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe
How long between when you upload a photo until it is posted on the site? It does not seem to be real-time.
When I post it is only a few moments. I do have to refresh my browser to see the results. It may be that the pictures are being sorted in unexpected ways. It is set to show them by date/time taken, but some cameras may have the time set incorrectly, or there may be some other strange issue, but they don't always appear in the expected sequence. But hey, this is free and just for fun. I plan on moving everything around into new folders in a couple days to make it easier to find stuff.
OK, then all the ones I uploaded earlier today appear to be somewhere else as they never showed up anywhere that I can find.
I just tried again. Could not find anything. Could it be full-is there a maximum size? I noticed that there have not been any new photos posted in quite a while.
Russell: I think your pictures are on "page 10," the last page. I still can't upload or download. [edit] Cancel that. Thanks to Russell, I did find my photos. I think they post randomly. Now I can't download the zip file with all the photos. I'll post some more later.
The ones I see one that page are not mine. Still have not seen any that I uploaded on any of the ten pages.
You are welcome. OK, I tried Safari instead of Firefox for the convention site and was able to load photos. They were taken on different days, with all the EFIX data attached, and they all ended up together on the same page.
FYI, I posted some pictures of the Clinchfield RR over on Scott Teague's thread: Cleaning the Clinchfield N-Scale layout - TrainBoard.com
