I spent my early childhood in Cottage Grove, Oregon and you know how it is— what you see the way things are is what you think is the way things are supposed to be. But recently I'm finding things much smaller than I remember and a lot of things are just simply gone. I was on vacation in Oregon last week and ran onto something I thought was gone forever. It was probably made famous by the SP. It's currently on CORP trackage in Drain, Oregon... but its still an SP moment... and it doesn't get much better than this...man do I wish I could insert a tunnel motor or a cab-forward! and a bit closer up...
Working Hard When you are not on the main you don't get the new stuff. But the old faithfuls keep on pluggin away.... Doc
An SP local approaching the Brazos River bridge in Richmond, Texas. A P-6 Pacific is on the point today.
My newest acquisition, fresh out of the box: This is a NIIIICE loco. It even has seats in the cab, so it may eventually recieve a crew :shade:
Well no great layout to show case it on..but here's an Atlas/Mark4 GP40-2. and yes it does have working nose lights, and Mars light in the cab roof.
Up Close and Personal Bakersfield 2003 - my first Espee up close and personal experience. More SP 100 to come soon ;-)
Sweet AC4400!James that air con unit above you,was that in UP yellow or is it the primer paint? Need to show more pic's!
WOOOW!!! That's an awesome shot James. I don't have an AC4400 in espee colours but I do have a AC6000CW to which I'm going to add some minor weathering similar to that unit behind you. Thanks for the boost. verse PS In HO that is.
I believe the a/c unit is in UP Yellow I'm afraid. I've got more shots of her out at my parents place...just have to get out there and dig them up! You can all thank Kelly Cruise for the photo - I didn't even think of a quick pose with her. Thanks mate!
