I recently ran a Google search on Brass Train Models and came up with the Caboose.
Upon going to there site they boast the largest Inventory of Brass Train Models. Both New and Consignment. However I had never heard of them, and was wondering if anyone here had either heard of them or had any experience with them?
Their pricing for both new and consignment items in both N & HO scale is very reasonable.
    Thanks for your input.

The Caboose (in CT) has been around more years than I can count. I dealt with them numerous times more then 20 years ago and they weren't new then! I'm not sure how you could have been unaware of them if you collect brass at all.

With regard to dealing with them, I always found them very helpful concerning any purchase, the items always of first class (or you would be informed up front concerning any defects) as well as their prices usually being quite reasonable.

I drove up to Wolcott and consigned all my HO brass for sale ( about 50 pieces ) in 1997 . Bought my first N scale brass from him at that time . First class operations even though its a 2end floor of a barn in the back yard . There were at least 4 employees and a few dogs the 2 times I was there . He is kinda of connected with the Hobby Gallery in the same town . Thats where I sold all my non brass HO and bought my first N scale non brass , but that took 4 trips due to volume . I know both places are long timers in the business , and are to be trusted . Due to distance from Long Island , I haven't been back since 1997 .

The Caboose is a retail leader in the Brass Market. I have done business with them for more than 20 years - both in new purchases and consignments. They are resonable in price on a day to day basis. They pass discounts on to the consumer when they get them (e.g. February when Overland does their annual clearance). They are extremely knowledgeable and stand by their product. They are just plain helpful.

You will not be disappointed in dealing with them.

Same here. I bought a number of N scale steam locos several years ago. One was too large for my tight curves at the time. Returned it for a refund. No problem.

Thanks Fellas for your fast response. From your input I placed a purchase for a SD 40T-2, Overland.
To new to that portion of the hobby to know; that's why the input is so much appreciated. Can never learn or know enough info about something that interest you
    Thanks again

The Caboose is a top drawer operation. I have purchased most of my n scale steam from them. With the state of n scale brass these days, their inventory is rather small now. They have an incredible amount of HO and larger. They usually attend the Big E show in Springfield MA every year.
