Looking good stevenb, did you weathered it using chalk ? . ( Almost ) looking like a real one: Jacques
i airbushed it first with some grey mix i came up (im using tamiya acrylics) then a couple of thin coats grey, rust, grey, rust etc. the grain silo's i masked the segments and after the first coat of grey i thinnned the grey removed the masks and put down another coat over the whole structure. then just dry brushing with acrylics. but seeing your picture, maybe i should weather it some more? stevenb
Steve,You are doing a very good job and staying within prototype practices. However, there is one small change I would make because-well here it is again-the old brakeman in me tells me that the tail track by the engine house would not foul a industry because of their workers(safety issues) and the loading/unloading of freight cars. However,if you are happy go with what you got.. Please keep us posted....And those pictures coming.
new building and and pressure vessel. the pipes on the building and tank are tig welding rods, the tank is a film canister and the nozzels on the tank are nailheads. stevenb
stevenb, that pressure vessel you scratchbuilt is looking good. I might borrow the idea and install a couple of them in my N scale brewery. Jacques
Hey Stevenb, nice job on the pressure vessel, the pipes and all, using the 35mm film case.
