There are a bunch of ships. First are two cutters. The buildings behind the big cutter are scratch. There's a subchaser in the foreground Two of four freighters A coastal tanker A Benson-class destroyer Another freighter, since heavily modified (but no photo yet)

Yeesh. Now I wish I hadn't put that roundhouse picture up at the beginning of the thread. So very outclassed by world+dog here...
Wow, as usual, some fantastic modeling here!! Here's my 3, cabeese: GN X1-X30 series slant-cupola caboose: D&RGW 01400-series caboose: Not yet finished...
some impressive stuff guys, here's my only scratch attempts.. and something i just made one day, I didnt have any particular model to follow or anything, still looks good tho.. enjoy!
Not at all.......it fits right in! Any scratchbuilding is an art, and the roundhouse looks great! Some good stuff on this thread, as usual!
John W, do you have any articles or how-to's? I'm so impressed by your detailing and scratchbuilding! Jon
here are my additions - all scratchbuilt using styrene Commonwealth Railways GMX 75ft gondola Bethgon (Edgewater Electric) 60ft gondola
Rob M, Thre is nothing wrong with your roundhouse, It's good to see what other people are doing. Keep up the good work. Jon, Thank You. Here on trainBoard I have the new roundhouse article, one on the conversion of a Micro-Ace 0-6-6-0 to a D&RGW 2-6-6-0 and the M-A 2-10-4 to an US style loco. I have not done any how-to articles for the mags but a earlier layout I had was in Model railroader of Jan 1977 and the present layout in Model Railroading, May 2004.
Nice cars, Sten. I want to start distressing the sides on my gondolas, but haven't tried anything yet. Nice job. Does the Commonwealth Railways gondola have a special use?
Again, unbelievable stuff here guys! Here's my still-yet-to-be-completed container ship and crane project.... Russ
Probably one of my biggest scratch build projects, this is a bone car filter house on my sugar refinery module. Here is a shot of the prototype.
what happened to the sides of the 60ft gon was actually a mistake, I was trying a technique for making scrap loads using foam and ripping it up using a knife, did that painted it and then stuck it in with MEK, which 'ate' the sides. the CR 75ft gon was used for general freight, I have seen pics of the wagon hauling pipe loads.
