Hey Leo..... A couple things? You mentioned sealing your foam. What do you use? Also...I was just waiting for that module to collapse! Whats with the wobbly legs..OMG!! :tb-biggrin::tb-biggrin::tb-biggrin: .
Great Work Leo Leo, I think your shows are very well done and great for our hobby. Keep up the good work!! Yourself and the Joe Fugate`s projects are great examples of how the hobby can benefit from new ideas and technology. And no matter what anyone says, I like your shirt.:tb-wink: Ivan Fennelow
Wobbly? That module looked pretty stable to me! Ntrak modules tend to feel that way - they're not permanent, and they're designed to move. It's amazing how solid they become when clamped together.
Thanks again, Leo! I really enjoy watching your show. Is there a Hobby Channel on satellite TV? If so, you could do a 24 minute show, cut up by commercials. Might not pay any better than what you're getting now LOL but think of the free stuff you could get for product placement!
Leo, Thanks for another interesting video. Finally a manufacturer has bit the bullet and released a body mount coupler equipped item. You're right it looks great. Hopefully it will catch on and they will release more cars like it. Cheers, Alan.
What am I doing wrong that I can't watch the video smoothly? I hit the pause button until it had fully loaded. The sound is smooth but the picture is extremely choppy. I watch videos everywhere else without problems, but since nobody else is complaining I guess it's on my end? I've watched episodes in the past with no problems. Any ideas? Matt
I'm putting up a higher bitrate than most other places in an attempt to do a higher quality video. The default is a "Flash" video which is shown by your browser, but this takes more CPU and there have been a number of flash bugs over the years. If you have Apple's Quicktime installed there is a little pulldown to the lower right of the video for format, you can pull down the Quicktime video which will then play back using the native Quicktime player. If you don't have Quicktime Player, it is free from Apple.
I use a product called "FoamSeal" which I picked up at a show. I think it's basically extra-thick latex paint. Any good latex primer will do the job too. The module isn't that wobby. The legs are probably not as tight as they could be, but the real strength in modules comes when they are locked together. This is particularly true for smaller, odd shapes like corner modules.
EXTREME LEO! :tb-biggrin: All you needed was an engineer to roll his eyes, and it would have been perfect.:tb-rolleyes: That InterMountain flat looks interesting. (I've always been impressed with their quality.) What size wheelsets come with them---- will they work on my Atlas Code55? I must say your production just gets smoother all the time, and I always look forward to the next episode. Thanks for all your effort. Don OhioNorthern--ON Line, ON Time
Thanks Leo, I'm on my way out and when I return I'll try it that way. Thanks and congrats on putting on a great show! Matt
