I made this loco for my german Z-friend Gunnar Haeberer. I did following modifications to the orginal Micro-Trains model: - "standard" BLMA details (grab irons, lift irons, MU hoses, cut leaver) -2 x 48" BLMA fans, fan housing made from brass -winterization hatch -bell -etched snow plow -signs for reling -custom painting -GN decals -light weathering (GN was takinhg care of their engines) Interesting on this prototype is the bell on the long hood. GN was running (if possible) with long hood forward. I have to do one for myself now.....
Wow, wish I could get somebody to do a CP GP7 or 9 for me. Or at least do the decals. Great job, yes the nicest I have seen.
From one GN GP9 owner to another Beautiful, Gerd. And this from a guy who owns his own GN GP9 in the Big Sky Blue paint scheme himself! Mike
Great work, looks like a model from a much bigger scale! Can I ask you how did you add the plow etc and still got a working coupler? Have you changed it to a body mounted one? BR, Albert
Hi Albert, you're right, body mounted coupler, otherwise it's not possible to have the snow plow, cut leaver and the MU-hoses installed.
