Thanks! They do look good in orange, they look alot better in person than in the pics I took. I was having a problem with my camera when i took the pics. That NS selling off some old SOU units to the J is a good idea. I plan on doing another SD45 high hood in J colors and a low hood 45 too. Definately going to use my modelers license in my layout when i get it started. It will have some things in common with the prototype J and some of the prototype connecting roads, but it will have alot of freelance ideas in it too.
Update, I just started repainting to Athearn SD9 High hoods I have in my collection. Both were ATSF units, from my research the ATSF never had sd9 high hoods and the ones I have were made up by Athearn. I have the first unit stripped of its blue and yellow paint, the car body is primed, and the trucks, fuel tank, and under frame are painted silver. I will be painting the car body orange, numbering, and lettering it soon. Dunno what I want to do with the second unit yet. I'm thinking of painting it in DMIR colors and patching it with EJ&E logos, or just make it the same as its sister unit. I do have another High Hood SD45 coming and i plan modeling a SD60F in "J' Colors too. Will have pictures as soon as I have the unit done.
