    I don't know if this counts as "Pre-Production" USA Trains, but the seller lists this as 1988/89 Charlse Ro. Maybe you both can help me determine if this belongs here. I saved the image from the ebay auction purely for this thread:

    I did some research this morning and found reference for R-1951 NP in the late 80's and early 90's catalogs and price lists. The picture from the eBay auction appears much darker than the original from the catalog which I have attached. The original from the catalog appears brownish green whereas the one from eBay appears green. Could very well be that the one being sold right now is indeed a special run. It could also be that the eBay image is underexposed that the box car appears darker than it is.
