    Mike,

I think you are right across the board. We send the issues Periodical rate. The USPS quotes us a delivery time in 7-10 days. We find that the first issues reach subscribers in Ohio in 2-3 days. After that, it is amazing the delivery differences. I theorize that regional or local post offices just don't care about the Periodical mark and treat the issues as bulk mail. Sort of a get to it when we get to it attitude. I think this time, a portion of our mailing may be missing or misrouted since issues are missing across the US.

    You think that is bad?
I once went to the rear dock area of our post office to hand deliver a box to the folks unloading packages from route trucks and I watched one delivery guy tossing boxes like they were basket balls at a bin about 15 feet away. Some would land in the bin and others would just bounce off the bin rim. He thought it was funny.......I didn't.

Came close to going to jail that afternoon......at least in my mind, as I wanted to toss the postal worker about 15 feet head first into the same bin.

Another example of our government at work.....

I suspect there is a truck lost somewhere with a container of mail. Zscale may be too small a publication to do carrier route sorting. Priority Mail packages go via a different route? Some local PO's may be better than others. With the price of mail going up, perhaps we should protest to the USPS to get better service?

This reminds me of a time MR & T magazines going to the west coast were in an Amtrak derailment. IIRC a lot of the traffic Amtrak carried was periodicals going long distances. The magazines were too heavy to fly. Kalmbach ended up sending some replacement issues.

Magazine has not been received here in Hemet, which is Riverside County just East of LA. Now Jim in Santee, San Diego County received his copy a few weeks ago. There just doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for this. Has anybody else here in Zo Cal not received their copy?
I'm still willing to wait another few weeks just in case to save Rob the extra mailing cost.
