They put them all in little bottles and tossed them in the ocean. Look for them on future episodes of "Lost".
Do we know that they have been manufactured, yet? I know they were due this month, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of these companies are putting off releases in hopes that the global economy picks up the pace just a little bit. Adam
Mayflower? On the Mayflower? I live in a "Mayflower" mobile home. You had me searching all over the place. It would of been like striking gold. Didn't find a thing. I have a basement now, dug down to six feet deep. Nope...I don't think so. Oh, the other Mayflower...why didn't you say so. LOL Bachmann, did someone say Bachmann? Approach yellow over red and don't hold your breath. Have fun!
May '09 possible? According to latest BLW posting ... delivery is for May '09. http://www.buynscale.com/Bachmann%20GE%2044%20Ton.htm Hmmm.... is that 2009? 3009? 4009? :tb-tongue:tongue::mtongue:
Apart from runner packs MTL only announce things that are already made and ready to ship. Everyone else has fallen into the habit of announcing things when they are seemingly just an idea in the marketing departments imagination, Kato is also not usually so bad, but generally these days a two or three year wait from announcement to release is not unusual. Personally, I'd not mind the wait so much if the manufacturers would just show some common courtesy to their customers, and let us know the reason for the seemingly inevitable delays rather than just quietly put back dates without any explanation. If Bachmann would say the 44 tonner is delayed because of the economic crisis, I'd say, "Yeah, fair enough, I can wait", but they and most of the others tell us nothing, we have to use our imagination to come up with reasons or rely on 'someone who knows someone who overheard a couple of reps talking at a show'.
Pre Order Delay Folks I think I finally figured out what is causing all these delays. Well they have been talking about these Pirates Hijacking these ships. So the way I see it our Pre Orders are on those ships and it's causing delays and price increases.???????????:mconfused: Ya think! :mmad: laugh:Not!! Ahh what the heck might as well find the humor in it all; can't change it.
In all fairness, I think the statement made by "The Bachmann" on their forum was that they would be "on the next container leaving". Not that the container had actually left yet. I think the last news report I heard said that shipping was down 60% or more so it means a longer wait to fill a ship before it heads this way. They aren't going to send a ship till it is full. Fewer ships crossing the seas right now. Bachmann has shown production samples at a few recent shows if I remember correctly so I am pretty confident that they have been built.
Even so you think they'd still have some sort of schedule or at least know the status of the container, or it's location if its sitting at a Chinese port somewhere, so they could let us know. In this age of instant information containers are tracked from origin to destination, they could easily keep us updated. "on the next container leaving" is a pretty vague and meaningless statement, The Bachmann might as well say "don't ask me, we don't have an organised shipping schedule". From what I see on the Bachmann forum The Bachmann would make a good politician, he rarely gives a straight, direct answer to a question.
The word I got from Bachmann at Nashville, was that the 44t and DDA40X, would be in the next container which is expected to be delivered late April, and would ship out in early May to dist.
