Has anyone in the Central Kentucky area been able to find foam blueboard? All I have been able to find are an off-color blue and the OC pink version. Would like the blueboard to use as a backdrop. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have not seen any blueboard here in town. Maybe one of the Lowes stores can order you some in? Mark
The Lowes stores only carry the off-blue type which would not work for a sky background. If they ordered it, it would probably have to be a large quantity. But I will check.
I used latex paint to color the sky on the backdrop and it looks fabulous. Can even give the color formula, if you decide to go that route.
Only stuff I've seen is the 2 inch thick pink foam at Home Depot,and the 3/4 inch blue foam made by Dow at Lowe's.
Don't want to use latex paint to paint over the foam. I would like to use the techniques I learned in the Dream Plan Build DVD. May have to go to some construction sites to find what I need. (Even though there isn't a lot of construction going on right now.)
From reading what this stuff is used for it may be tough to find. My brother runs a good sized construction company but all their new construction is drywall/tape/mud. I'll call him and see if he can get them to order a small batch if you run out of options. Mark
There ae ACE hardwares stores around here. May have to wait a while to find the blueboard. Money is tight this month.
