    John,
Great looking NP Challenger! Where do you get your detail parts, like the air pumps?

Thanks Rick and Dave. There is still quite a bit to do. I also have an undec version that I plan to do as SP&S 910.

    Dave,
The air pumps are from Precision Scale Co (585-6744) and I ordered them from Walthers. The pilots I ordered are PSC too, but not sure if they are the correct version. It is getting more difficult to find detail parts. I didn't find any loco marker lights on the Walthers web site.

PSG---will those smoke deflectors come right off and if so, do they leave holes where they were mounted?

Here are a couple more pictures of NP5134. I still need to modify the pilot.

    Bob,
You have some very nice looking locos. Do you just run steam on your layout? I just recently got more interested in steam, and must say they look great running on my layout. I now have two Challengers (NP and soon to be SP&S), two Bachmann 4-8-2s (GN), and Model Power (GN) and Kato (SP&S)2-8-2s.

Glenn, I did this with my Big Boy #4019 which has smoke deflectors too. I had to use a bit of force to remove the supports that hold the deflectors. If you do it carefully you can putt them back on. And yes, the supports will leave small holes.
