A Bachmann 44 tonner stripped and waiting for paint and reassembly.
Four DM&E gondolas painted and partially decaled.
Two custom Erie Builts waiting for decoders and 2 more ready for paint.
Three misc HO decoder/ lighting projects for others.

Does anyone else experiences this: No matter how big the workbench, it's covered with "stuff" and I find myself working in an area the size of a postage stamp?

DiezMon, the Soo 40-2 is excellent!

    Fun thread BTW

Glacier Gravel, Am classics filling station, Grandma'a Hse and trying to design the layout at the same time. No wonder the design work isn't getting done. Nowhere to lay it out.

Wow, I'm actually curious if any of us has just one workbench. Like mostly everyone, I've got stuff going on all over the place:

This printer is in the trunk of my car, I'm using it to make a transfer table.

This is the tunnel lid version 2. I took it apart yesterday and am going to make version 3.

Don't really have a workbench. The computer desk must do double duty.

Just off (one of four cars):

Next in the queue to be finished:

I have pledged to myself to "Do Something Every Day" for the entire season. So far, so good, sometimes so small... but still something.

I have two projects in progress:

1.) dressing up a Model Power 2-6-0 to resemble a late B&M B-15 Mogul. Changes will be all cosmetic including moving the bell, adding a larger generator, and handrails. Adding steps, piping, air hoses, and a new paint job should complete the transition.

2.) not started yet... reworking a Model Power 4-4-0 to better resemble a B&M counterpart.

Like George, I plan to do something railroady everyday, no matter how small.

Nice thread. Maybe if I post here each Friday, I will try to not post the same workbench picture twice. Sort of like a Layout Party thread that gets you to accomplish something on your layout.

I am still working ion trucks. I found this small decal for a Santa Fe TOFC 40 foot trailer. I have no idea where it came from but maybe somone here can identify it. I happened to have an old Atlas TPFC with the silver/red trailer, so I painted this Micro Trains trailer in the same scheme. I don't know if it is prototypical or not, but it is a nice looking trailer. The MT trailer is in the center of the photo.

Others items being detailed are the Budweiser trailers, CMW lcl tractors and an old PMT red trailer that needs landing gear.

Notice that I have some Burlington decals, too, but I can't find any TOFC photos for them.

    First off, great work everyone!

I'm loving these ideas! I'm going to try to make a post here every Friday as well. :)

And speaking of layout party..... that's coming up here pretty soon, is it not? [IMG]

I just finished up this quick scratch build of a Hanover Freight Depot, based on two images (1, 2) I found online.

Now I just have to detail it.

You can follow the very simple construction process in this thread. :)

Remember to remind her the holiday season is coming up fast. You'll need to get all the "stuff" now so that once the holidays come, you can focus your attention and make them extra special. [IMG]

    * The problems I have... 1) she is going with me ! 2) she has been talking of how her 'excursion train' would look really cool being pulled by a steam engine. 3) I am not much of a 'steam guy' 4) she is T.H.E. Boss when it comes to the train budget !! maybe I can talk her into " I will buy you one later for xmas dear :tb-wink:
