I was putting some glue on my details west salam air filter when the glue spewed out. It filled all the little groves. I have tried to pick it out with a blade but it is not working.

    Any ideas?

Place it in the freezer until frozen. That makes the glue very brittle and it should flake off easily / easier.

Soak it good in acetone (Finger Nail Polish Remover). Check first to make sure the acetone does not attack the part.

Thanks guys, The part is white metal. I would think acetone would be safe on metal?

Oh, yeah, no problem with metal. The acetone will soften it up but you may still have to scrub a little with a stiff brush. The longer the soak the better.

Freezing the glue will do it.

Acetone will do the job on white metal.

Stay cool and run steam..... [IMG]
