i started a new custom painting project.

the color has been mixed from :
    - milwaukee orange (polly)
    - ttx yellow (modelflex)
    - csx yellow (polly)
    - platinum mist (polly)

the red stripe is not a decal ! tlt cp bright red btw.
there will be a second red stripe underneath the windows.
two red stripes on each side of every car.

    hints :
    - north america
    - NOT union pacific (hell no !)
    - afaik passenger operations only.

    any takers ?

These are steeplecabs.. The road name is a bit more obvious than Sandro's.

Building a blacksmith and welding shop for my small-town scene. This is based on the Walthers State Line Farm Supply kit, but I'm using one of the optional rear walls on the front, instead of the false-front brick wall. I will have to modify the base and roof slightly, because the side walls are a little shorter.

Thought so. Two summers ago I visited Arizona...amazing place. And really really hot. But I watched switching with ATSF lettered geeps in Phoenix, high speed BNSF in Flagstaff, and those gorgeous F40s at the rim! I look forward to seeing more of your project!

I am with you on that Bremner. Even higher is OK. IMHO much easier to cool down rather than warm up.

More work on my Dash 9. I almost don't want to dullcoat and weather it. Pics don't do it much justice, imho by far my best work.

Just ordered SM LED's and a few more decals. Needs couplers, Sinclairs and Ditchlights, and DCC as well. Then I can stick a fork in her.

She's gorgeous! Was the headlight relocated or did you use a printed cab?

Here is what is on my workbench and most likely will be for a while..............

I have wanted an AC-9 to go with the KATO GS-4 and IM AC-12. I bid on at least 6 of the Key brass locos on "that place" and was out bid each time. Now, thanks to Jason, I can build my own. My B'mann EM-1 is broken in and runs perfectly. However, I plan to strip the guts out of the tender and probably add an ESU Loksound decoder and speaker. Let the fun begin.

I cut the nose headlight from a separate cab and grafted it between the number boards. You should try it, it really isn't bad at all. Thanks for the compliment.

This week I got the end rivet decals applied to tool wash car BCOL 6506:

Also further progress on panel track car BCOL 6510, including end and side sills, holes for trucks and couplers, and bottom plates for centre sill:

Next up are rivet decals for BCOL 6508, and adding the deck and bulkheads for BCOL 6510.

    Amazing work there above...intimidating...

I was asking about Caboose lighting in another thread. I found some hobby leds to fiddle around with. Here's my 1st attempt at a F.R.E.D. It's a Frankenstein of a job, but it does work. I'm not thrilled with it, and it took forever, but it's done. I do believe my next effort will be with track power instead of battery power.

And I saw this N&W GP18 in an old "Trains" mag I was reading, realized it was the same as mine (with some small differences) and decided to get mine closer to prototype. This is what's gone on so far...

It's not elegant...but I can live with it.
