This company was at Trainfest last weekend. They had some very impressive farmhouses and office sheds. I specifically remember the house because it looks very similar to the midwestern farmhouses I grew up around and I thought, "Hey, that would be nice in a farm module..." I didn't get a chance to talk to them because they were surrounded by N-scale folks every time I walked by, but I did pick up some of the product and look at it. Russ Milwaukee, WI
I got a good sampling of them as well. Good stuff especially for background elements if you are doing a lot of heavy scratchbuilding in the foreground. They remind me of the British Metcalfe Home Page - Railway Models and Toys from Metcalfe paper models and have a lot of potential especially if you cut the windows out and set them back and add some selective relief. Joe MTL
That sound interesting...I was recently searching for someone making "low relief" type builds in Z, i like the effect it has on shelf style layouts.. I'll keep an eye out... Mike.
Z and N Models Thank you sirs for the kind comments about our products. We met some great people at Trainfest including Sam. Our website should be up next week. We appreciate all comments about our products. It only helps improve them.
Cardboard Joe, Metcalfe has some nice stuff indeed. I got one of their kits and I am pleased with it. For those overseas (both you folk and us from the ole continent :mrolleyes, another good options is downloading your scratch material or kits from http://www.scalescenes.com/ Also mainly British, but with lots of generic buildings that can be used just about anywhere. Download the kit in N, scale it down at 67% and print your own... Matt

Hi Gregg I just tried to send you a message on the sites contact form, but got an errormessage that the adresse used in the form is not valid. The adress is rejected by your mailserver: sales@zandnmodels.com The question I asked was: "Is it possible to order from outside US? I live in Norway, but the orderform does not contain a selectionfield for country." May be your answer will be nteresting for people here on the forum also?
Ordering Outside the US We checked our site for posting errors and had none. We're looking into your problem. If you have this issue again, please leave a message on the Forum at our site. As of right now, we are not supporting International sales. Merchant sales percentages and overseas shipping costs are high and until we had enough requests to support this type of sale we were not going to pursue it. Our apologies for this inconvienence at this time. If you'd like to register with our site, we can contact you as soon as we open the overseas market.
Hi Gregg, As one of the other oversea Z scaler and manufacturer you should not underestimate european sales, since a lot is done in the credit cards with a non U.S. address. Would not be surprised that this will increase sales with 10-15%. Sincerely,
Hi Gregg, The text came out wrong for some reason in the previous quote. You should add foreign billing addresses to your credit cards even if you do not ship overseas. It is very common for oversea Z scalers to ship to a U.S. address before the items are exported to Europe. Could substantially increase your sales to have this option. Tried to order yesterday and ship to U.S. address, but gave up since you did not have the foreign billing address option. Sincerely,
Overseas Purchases and Shipping Hans, Please bear with us. The overseas sales/shipping is being setup as I write. Thank you, Gregg Zurek and Partners
I know you are just getting started with the website but you need something on the home page that tells the customer that these are paper models. Someone that comes to your site by a way other than this thread would have no way of knowing what material your kits are made of. Thanks for entering into the market place. We can always use a new manufacturer.
You are correct. These are paper texture models that are applied to a balsa or 5mm poster board backer. We will have a video showing the assembly of our models and a free model for downloading (2 car garage) very soon. We challenge all to find a repeating pattern (tile effect) of our textures on the same wall or on our full sheet textures (coming soon).
Free Model at Z and N We're still working to get our site updated but here's a link for our free models and instructions. Please take time to register.
