Going into the RED Took some serious begging to get the wife to allow me to order this O Gauge Engine of the Stourbridge Lion and Coal Cars when it would exceed my hobby budget; but, how often do you see this engine ever offered in any scale? Image put together and submitted to RailImages on August 17, 2009; it was "DQ" from the "Weekend Modeling Photo Challenge "Red" Ends Aug 17th " Contest but offering it again for consideration. TBX#0801 Taken May 7, 2009 Wouldn't be right to not have this HO Scale Covered Hopper be part of a TrainBoard contest. I don't have a layout (yet) but this little display scene I think at least shows it off nicely as a roster shoot.
Vintage New York Central O Gauge Steam This image taken January 3, 2009 is part of my Dad's childhood trainset that I now have as part of my collection of model trains. It's see allot of actual milage over the decades of use by both my dad as a child as well as by me when he started letting me run it as a kid on the floor over at Grandpa's house.

Here are my entries. The first two are heavily Photoshopped, which was never mentioned whether is was allowed or not? If not, I'll just enter the last one which has not been changed in Photoshop. As an evening thunderstorm clears, train CDLE-1 crests the Mascoma Lake Grade into the setting sun. Taken on August 4, 2009. During a torrential rainstorm, train CDWJ screams up the Mascoma Lake Grade in Run 8. Taken on August 4, 2009. Train LE-2 passes the depot in West Canaan, NH. Taken on October 30, 2009.
Photoshop is as much a part of photography as anything. It's just another tool in the photographers hands. As long as the focal point is a genuine model, enhancements and composite backgrounds are perfectly acceptable. I love that rainstorm shot!
