I haven't seen a thread about it yet, so I'll start one. From Feather River's site. ES44AC (Gevo) Union Pacific - Canadian Pacific 2 Numbers SD70ACe: George H.W Bush # 4141 SD70ACe: BNSF (Swoosh) # 9385 Coalporter: Norfolk Southern (8 Car Set) and CSX (8 Car Set) Maxi IV: TTX w/EMP Green Containers GG1: PRR (Green Single Stripe) Due April 2010. I was hoping there would be a second run of Katy heritage SD70ACe's but I think I'll be getting my credit card out anyway.
It is a good time to be a CSX modeler, although my wallet will suffer: -- CSX SD70ACe -- BNSF Maxi IV w/CSX 53' containers -- CSX Coalporters -- CSX GEVOs probably not far behind BTW, I suspect the Norfolk Southern coalporters to fly off the shelves. Of all the model railroad items I have sold on eBay, the three sets of Kato NS coalporters that I previously owned fetched the highest $$$.
Strange part about this announcement is that Kato USA site list no GEVO at all nor do they list a Bush SD70. The Bush Loco wasn't a SD70 ACe it was a SD70M. It came out in Overland Imports about one year ago. I take it that this is a Forum rumor and not fact.
Not rumor - http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=KAT1768411 http://searchtrains.horizonhobby.co...Ne=500&sid=12550141B067&Ntt=es44ac&N=5598+670
I have looked on the Kato USA website today and all of these announcements are on there: http://www.katousa.com/N/ES44AC/index.htm http://www.katousa.com/N/SD70ACe/index.html http://www.katousa.com/N/MAXI-IV/index.html http://www.katousa.com/N/Coalporter/index.html They also list all of these new releases at the very top of the Coming Soon! list on top of the home page, so not sure why so many people (not just on this site) still think these releases are just rumors. The only omission I noticed on the Kato USA website was the CSX/NS coalporters are not yet listed on the Bethgon Coalporter page even though they are listed on the home page. Jamie
Shouldn't, it's named for Herbert Walker Bush, being the elder Bush. However, you might want to play "Ruffels and Florishes" when you run it. :tb-biggrin: Or "Hail to the Chief".
Could be worse. I know of one locomotive that you know will break down at a specific time, then it is withdrawn from service. :tb-biggrin:
