I am trying get some information on this line of rolling stock. aka AJ California Cars

Welcome aboard Gary! The Amador Central cars I've seen are exactly the same as the Roundhouse cars but with the bottom painted/weathered and auto couplers. Not much difference than what I do with Roundhouse stuff.

 

So how do they compare to say Micro Trains rolling stock?

 

Have accumate truck mounted couplers. You can't compare them to MT. For example the stirrups are molded to the shell not separate like MT. The most expensive one I got was $6.99 shipping was $4.75 then a $1.00 for each additional car.
This will look fine with some graffiti and weathering.
