I just wanna see which CSX paint scheme you guys like better the YN2 or the YN3? My vote goes for the YN2 but I'm starting to warm up to the YN3 because it reminds me of the B&O/C&O paint scheme.
Chessie! Oh wait. :tb-biggrin: I'm a fan of YN3. YN2 is OK on a new engine, but looks bad when whethered.
YN2 for me. Like you, the YN3 reminds me of the old C&O scheme from the mid-1960's - but once road grime builds up on this scheme, it looks bad! Actually, to more precise, I like the scheme that was originally applied to the AC6000's. The "stylized" CSX on the main body of the locos really stands out.
Tim, the AC6000CW is also my favorite. The yellow logo stand out with the gray and blue paint. I didnt like the YN3 at first, but I am beginning to like it.
Probably this early one: http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=233424 Like Rock Island, yellow noses pretty much ruined the look of CSX power.
I like this one: http://bnsfhotshot.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1901102 Being a CSX AC4400CW fan I like the YN2.
Stealth with blue trucks and tank. No, i'm not kidding. If I must choose between YN2 and YN3, i'll take YN3. Dave
I'd have to side with the 'founding' scheme: CSX Transportation http://www.trainweb.org/csxphotos/photos/GP40-2/6382CSX-t.jpg It's classic and really stood for what I did. However...I'll side with the YN2
