I GOT HIRED!!!! Fireball, thank you so much for directing me to the DM&E, and thanks to you all for the other words of encouragement that I received! I drove out there, I was the last of 8 guys interviewed for 2 positions in Huron and and the end of my interview Marlene (who is cool) said, "we don't usually do this so quickly, but I would like to offer you the job." I just about fell over! I stayed overnight and got all of the drug testing and stuff out of the way, and I'll be in St. Paul for training in 10 days!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!! Thanks again :tb-biggrin:
Very cool! I have done my good deed for the day now! LOL Enjoy St Paul, I havent been up yet ( going in April) but it sounds like a top notch place. Congratulations adn welcoma aboard the craziest railroad in the midwest!

Congratulations. A friend and I get out to Huron occasionally rail fanning, and most of the employees there have been very cooperative as long as we ask permission. We have been in the roundhouse many times. If you work through western Minnesota on the DM&E, you may come through my home town, Walnut Grove.
