Watch for my article on this project in the May/June issue of N Scale Railroading. This will be my first published article, so I am on cloud nine!
That's a beautiful model. I'll have to read the article and consider a new project since I've been looking around for an MP15AC in Milwaukee Road paint; they used so many of them yet I can't seem to find a vendor that produces one. Nice job!
Great job on the MP15 AC,Steve.May be the manufacturers will see this, and produce one in N Scale.I look forward in reading this article, and plan on getting this issue of the magazine.Congratulations on getting your first article published.
Very nice looking! I can't wait for the article so I can try making a pair of goslings for my WSOR branh.
Thanks Steve (no, sincerely)!!!! You jinxed us. It always works this way. Now all I have to do is buy all the parts and start work on one and then... Hello Atlas?... Hello?
Bill, I know what you mean, and I hope you're right. Actually, I wonder if Athearn might do one, since they have a nice HO version.
I don't know if Athearn will do an MP15AC in N Scale,or the SD40-2,may be Fox Valley Models,or Atlas.I know Inter Mountain is doing an SD40-2 in all the versions, but it still remains to see how good they will be.The MP15AC,Steve is well done, look forward to seeing the article.Steve how did you decal the number boards?that would be the hardest part of the project, since the lettering is so small.
FYI, the May-June issue of NSR with my MP15AC article has hit the hobby shops. I was really surprised and pleased to see what Kirk and Bill did with the prototype photo to lead off the article.
I picked up this issue earlier in the week. Great article. To bad I'm modeling in the 50's I would like to have one of these for myself. :tb-biggrin:
Very nice job, Steve. I'd like one or two myself so the article will avoid myself reinventing the wheel, so to speak.
Nice job on the kitbash, the real MP15AC's still regularly work CP's (former SOO) Shoreham yard, in the bandit scheme, SOO solid red, SOO red and white and some are in full CP colors.
