Yep, and Johnny Trains is there too...

He's now where there's no suffering and on the rails that tears will never stain.

Rest now, Watash, old friend. Prayers for Jan and the rest of his family.

    Though the tears run deep,
    I do not mourn.
    These are tears of joy!
    For this man I knew,
    Lived long, full and deep.
    Few things nobler than such.
Except he also loved, loyally so
And to top it off, humble and wise
    And always eagar to help.
We can't have them forever, these gems.
A lifetime is far long enough!
    I've seen the encapsulated cells
    They call them homes.
    They're prisons.
To the one and all around.
    The worries now cease.
    Our dear beloved friend Watash
    Is now free!

I will still miss him, sorely so.
The screwdriver stays in the Fairlane
and that Fairlane will NEVER be sold!

My condolences to Jan and the family. Wayne left a legacy of wit and wisdom, and took me under his wing when I first joined Trainboard. For that, and the many PMs & emails we exchanged, he was a special friend to me. We'll miss you, Wayne!

Wayne joined TrainBoard on September 15, 2000 and in the almost 10 years he was here he made over 5000 posts on TrainBoard.

Although there is no way to count the numbers, I am sure that the number of private messages and e-mail messages he sent in his work at TrainBoard was far more than that. Perhaps many times more.

Wayne was relentless in helping people and if you asked him a question he would make sure that he found the answer (or referred you to someone that did) and then followed up to make sure that you were satisfied. That's how he got the moniker "Official Answer Man."

Someone like Wayne, that is willing to put so much into something like TrainBoard, is a rare find. He took his presence and work here very seriously.

We'll miss him. We'll never forget him. And, we offer our sincere condolonces to his family.

See you on the other side Wayne.

Rails, I was about to look for my posted question about an engine when I saw the news about our friend whom I corresponded to as 'Ash' many ,many times both on the main line (forum) and in the siding (private message). No sweeter guy !! Very long winded but so deeply helpful, loving of railroading, and diplomat of our great hobby..I am sad at this very moment along with you all.. I am blessed with the grandest of hobbies and more so having known Ash....My buddy Watash, we know you are now on one eternal train trip sitting in the engineer's seat, blowin' a crossing whistle-code: DOOOOO DOOOOO, DOOT, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !! We hear ya' Ash! High ball on through ,sir.

Sorry to be late with this, I just noticed it. My condolences to the family, he was one of the GOOD guys. Really going to miss seeing Snuffy Smith up in the corner.

I don't think I have ever interacted with watash while I've been on Trainboard.

The "eastern iowa railpics" family sends their condolences to Watash's family.

Is Watash's family able to see this thread? It would be good if they know how much he meant to this forum.
