Altenbeken (formerly Geseke) Z meet

Next weekend, the 13-14 March, is the Z scale meet in Altenbeken. This bi-anual meet was formerly Geseke (neighboring city) but due to personnel changes, the space was no longer available to moved to Altenbeken.

I will travel Wednesday to meet up with Dave George (a.k.a. Mr. Dave) of the GOlden Blackhawk Central travelling Z scale road show (only in the U.S. http://misterdavezscale.blogspot.com/) and Larry Dornsbach. Thursday and Friday, we'll run trains at the OWL group, a US Z scale layout.

Lot of great super detail parts. Every one works on details, trying to cram as much great, realistic stuff in the typical Marklin-like size (like apartment size 2x3 layouts). Big show layouts with many more of single track mid lines (like Wash DC Wiz KidZ). Amazing stuff.

wow so many micro trains I think I just wet myself!

I wish they would have these over by where I live, damn looks like i'll be attending the first annual Z get together out west. Can not wait.

Oh and guys I finally picked out my track plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I´ll bring some pics later, but didn´t have the time to make many, I had to run trains (which isn´t the worst).
