NO PATCHES!!! and they're 45T-2's on top of that!! http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=317988&nseq=3 There are a couple more photo's of them too.
Nice shots of the tunnel motors, but they pale in comparision to your layout shots. In my military days I spent some time in the Pacific Northwest and you have done a fine representation. rich c Sand Springs Railway
Hi Rich, and thank you very much. More of that to come, but right now I've got to get tracks down and wired so I can run trains. Maybe you caught it in one, maybe two of the photo's, but I'm altering my tunnel motors to have a "see thru" rear superstructure just like the proto!
I gotta say, you may have Joe Fugate beat on recreating Oregon's scenery, between the 2 of you you have SP's links between Or and Ca covered.
WOW!!!! Quite a statement. Much appreciated, but perhaps a bit over-the-edge. I'm a native Oregonian, but haven't lived there since 1962. As much as I've tried, I guess I'll never get there again. Perhaps my recollections are a bit exaggerated. I don't know, but I hope so. Thanks for the very kind endorsement!
Was working in Lorsdburg ,NM and saw a Cotton Belt unpatched geep from El Paso with the full mars/ gyralight package. An old Southern Pacific box car was close by. where is my camera when it really matters?....
Someone else took the shot. I posted the link. Go back and check the credits and contact the photographer if you wish.
