Have a quick question regarding my DCC command staion, a Digitrax DCS100.
Was outside running trains, since the weather wasn't too bad!
Anyway, a 5 amp system, with a Bachmann K-27 and about 45 foot of track.
Locomotive ran pretty good for a short time, then started slowing down along one curve section. Then, my command station beep 4 times and powered down.
Had to turn track power off/on/off/on to get train to run again.
However, I can't locate my DCS100 manual, and the DB150 manual says nothing about 4 beeps. Only 3 or 5. Otherwise, everything ran quite well, after this winter!
    Information appreciated.
    Thanks.

Four beeps with the DCS 100 means that the command station is at or close to it's maximum current output level and will shut down until it cools down. try putting a 12 volt computor fan blowing across the heatsink on the back of the unit. See page 38 of the DCS 100 manual

Hi, Here is a link to the DCS 100 manual on the Digitrax web site

    http://www.digitrax.com/ftp/superchiefxtra.pdf

Please note that the Super Chief manual includes the DCS100 manual

On page 40 of the PDF under section

    7.13 DCS100 Audible Sounds

4 Beeps Booster short circuit shutdown. Fault Alarm.
