All of the cut sheets from new products announced at medford are now on our web site at: www.americanzline.com Best, -Rob(A) AZL
That's great news about the cabeese! Can you provide more details? Only 144 total made, through all road-names and numbers? The special pricing is available only to the folks that attended the convention? Are these going to be available through other sellers or only Walthers and Ztrack?
It's nice to finally see some new cabooses. I'm definitely getting the Chessie ones. The Big Boy will be tempting to get as well. What's next for large locos for AZL, a DD35 or DD40?
Rob, the Cabeese sheet says 144 made of 1292, 1307 and 1319. These numbers are different than the listed cars below. Are there just 144 total cabeese or 144 of these numbers (and what Roads would these be for)? .
Bay Window Caboose Little confusion with the release. Do not worry, we will make plenty, but the first batch of SP brown and orange (150 total (144 in reality since AZL owners will keep a few!)) was a Medford special. We have leftovers from the 144 which can be purchased at the same rate $57 s&h included from Ztrack. Offer is good through May on a first come basis. The other SP roadnumbers that will be available in the first run have a different paint scheme (Mineral Red). Pricing is yet to be announced.
How, when, where can I purchase one? I just checked the Ztrack web-site, but I'm not finding a thing. How soon will Rob update for purchase?
Hold your horses a little. It takes a little time to get the change to the web site, but I am sure you can e-mail ztrack directly. We set aside $6 for domestic s&h, and foreign orders will have to pay the additional freight ($X - $6).
Actually Tom, that was GOOD judgment! I seen the samples with my own eyes, and they are better than the photos! I ordered all 3 numbers, and I can make all my own cabooses if I want. They look so good, that there is no reason for me to spend the time to build my own.
If they are good enough for the world-famous Robert Ray... Yes... I ordered one of each road-number. Now... I just hope I got my order in quickly enough and that my order will be honored. Thank you AZL folks! I look forward to the other road-names!
Ok, so back to those mikados...Any idea on roadnames? I have to say looking at the challenger, cab forward, and daylight...you know it will be sweet. I have to wait a full year though! To AZL I say thanks for listening for all of us who wanted smaller steam.
Smaller and plastic injected, which means cheaper! I'm already thinking about an Heavy Mike that will be at the point of a vintage / railfan train, or at the point of the few 50's era freightcars I didn't part with, just the time to catch a shot! Dom
Hans, Any thought to doing a Zephyr trainset? (Of course, in my case I would want it to be a Flying Yankee Boston and Maine... but they were pretty similar I think) ron
Unfortunately, to make an injection molded unique multi-car train (at least as long as Märklin's 5 car or longer) would take more than several hundred of you, just, in response to this forum post, in order to likely not even come close to covering just cost. The best I can see right now is the start of the Pullman Heavyweights, to match the steam era that will burst early next year. .
