PRR PRR lines thru Conrail to Norfolk Southern

    I'm seeking information about the disposition of Conrail's former PRR lines at its split-up. If there's anything further than what I've found in the following from wikipedia.org, please let me know:

    "The Norfolk Southern Railway and CSX Transportation split Conrail in approximately equal portions in 1999, with Norfolk Southern now owning most of the former Pennsylvania Railroad, including the old Pennsy Main Line across Pennsylvania."

    Hi Denny, The main line from Philadelphia to Harrisburg is owned by Amtrak. The old Low Grade has been abandoned. It ran from Parkesburg to the Susquehanna River and thence up to Enola. It ran concurrently with the Port Road from Perryville, Md. to Shock's Mill, with the Port Road continuing on up to Harrisburg on the east bank. The Low Grade, aka Atglen & Susquehanna, ran across the river on a bridge and up the west bank. There also is a branch from Lancaster to Columbia that had been double track but is now single. All the lines still extant here (Lancaster County) are under NS ownership. I hope that helps a little.

    It stands for New York, Allegheny & Western, my freelanced heavy electric line that runs from Jersey City to Cleveland.
    After I posted the above info I realised I left out the former Glenmoore Secondary which now ends in New Holland, Pa. That's where I saw my first Geep 50 years ago. Cement is a big part of the traffic on this line but fertiliser in covered hoppers and sweeteners in tank cars are just as big now.
