    Now I've finished my caboose.

One good point with building those kits, you make so many mistakes. This way you're ready for more. And you can try new weathering ways.

Execllent weathering. The car has obviously seen lengthy service, yet it's not minutes from the scrapyard, as some people are prone to overdoing the whole thing.

Nice job Wolfgang. Looking rather "road weary". After giving up on HOn3 because the fine details are too small for me I can appreciate your effort. As for the mistakes, I guess only you know what they are. At least I know about all of mine... :)

Nice to see you experimenting with different weathering techniques! I've played around with a few...currently developing my air brush weathering techniques.

With you fine brass work in building your GE 23 tonner, I bet you could do a darn good job with Precision Scale's brass C&S caboose kit: Caboose Kit - 4-Wheel All Brass -- Colorado Southern (585-68) -- Walthers Model Railroad Mall

At right in the following photo is what that caboose builds into:

That model is a relatively poor brass model of the 1006. My Grandt Line On3 1006 is 10x better detailed.

Grandt Line makes a styrene #1005/1008 in HOn3. I got mine to around 98% completed before I switched to On3.
