Just finishing up a beater of an old Atlas B23-7 in my personal paint scheme, had to completely disassemble it, clean and lube it, and get it running. Repainting the horrible shell the tortuous prior owner put it though. Check my albums on Photobucket in about a week.

I also purchased a SD70ACe in UP livery George Bush 41 (the father) paint scheme. I am no fan of either Pres, but the paint job and commemeration treatment was out of this world, and I admire the paint scheme.

I just traded a friend in Texas for a new Daylight articulated chair car set and $25 for a Rock Island Spectrum Consolidation with MT caboose. Will post that one, as it will be my first weathering job on a Spectrum Cons. I have several but on this one, which is not my favored road, I want to see how weathering brings out the valve gear details.

Btw, I purchased a Kato Daylight Articulated Car Set as they were on sale at my LHS, and run as good as they look (fantastic).

I don't model Kansas City Southern but the pair of Kato Sd70ACe in the Southern Belle scheme I just got were to cool to pass up.

Just came in the mail today. For being a "Light" 2-10-2, it sure is heavy, and with 2 drive axles with traction tires I have great expectations of this engine. Just need to do something about that rats nest of wires between the tender and engine.

Just when I said I had a very small wish list and for once in my N scale "career" I probably would buy little this season, as I have reached my pinnacle of wants, except some new stuff, I should juar be quiet and stifle myself. My N scale buddy is unloading some of his locos, and sold me some stuff for unusually great prices this past week.

All run great, but were display models on an open shelf, so cleaning lubricating, dusting and a box assignment to each when not running was in order. I do not believe displaying N scale models out in the open is a good idea.

    These include:
    Rivarossi mallet Big Boy
    Spectrum 2-6-6-2
    Kato GP38 PC
    Spectrum "J"

I just purchased a couple of UP units. An SD70M, and SD70ACe. They will be leased power on my layout. They were such a good deal, ($55 each!) I couldn't pass them up!

    Hey Mike !!!

I just got these 3 ATSF's. The Atlas Dash-8 has been gutted into a dummy and just got all the MT couplers on as well as the walkways painted on the U-Boat.

Some really nice additions to the fleets around here. My last N scale Loco will be a Con Cor U 50 whenever that comes out; with Dcc & Sound that is

The only ones I know of are Southern Pacific Daylight "Chair Cars", but a recent magazine talked about a restaurant diner car set in 1:1, so maybe more will be coming out. BTW, these are incredible, as they navigate through turns without showing any break between the cars, there is something in the hinging and overlapping motion, I guess.

Heck, these look soooooo good behind my ConCor GS4 and my other Daylight passenger cars......geeezzzz, I love this country!!!!!

Warricks. I have been going there ever since he got his start in an abandoned store in front of Broward General Hospital in the sixties!!! As for Discount in Oakland Park, I was his 5th train customer. He started out as a collector's postage stamp dealer who bought N scale trains and soon the stamps are only an afterthought. That was 4 stores ago.

I will miss Pete Warrick who recently passed away. Rick is good people.

I haven't posted any new pic'...

of new equipment for a long time... and this is no exception... the last loco I remember buying is the B'mann Ten Wheeler. Got lots of new heavyweight passenger cars from MT and a recent release of the Kato California Zephyr passenger set... but opted not to get more motive power though.

I like seeing the nice photos everyone else has been posting though. Keep-up the great work!

    Here's my newest loco:

My old drummer got this for me over 10 years ago with the intent on doing a custom paint job for me, but it took me forever to find the photo and eventually we both forgot about it. He sent this to me last week, and even though it's a little noisy, it runs great, especially for a loco that's been sitting in it's box for so long. And for anyone that's wondering, no I'm not going to dip it and repaint. I like the Southern paint scheme just fine. :)

I have a few of those SW 9/1200 models. All of mine were older when I got them, and all were noisy. I found that running them in a loop at half throttle for about 10 minutes in each direction really worked through most of that and decreased the noise substantially.

The new FVM Gevos in KCS de Mexico scheme. Also, Intermountain's KCS Executive F units:

I didn't set out to model the KCS, I just really like their paint scheme!
