Found this video on YouTube. Good info about the Prototype K-27 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4SBAEFMruw
Oh there will be videos, I have an 8.2 megapixle camera with a leica lense, prepare for HD K-27 action!
My Layout is still under construction and so is a "plywood pacific" but I have trains up and running. Herewith some photos:
Looks great. I still think my MMI K-27 looks better than my Blackstone model but are both great models in the long run, they both run well and sound great. Thanks for the pics.
Just received from Blackstone I just received my order from Blackstone Models. Several K27's & all the numbers of double deck stock cars. See my album (Juslogging's album )
One thing I can say about these K-27's is that they run very smooth at low speed, really fantastic! If you want one but haven't bought one yet, get one, they really are worth every cent in my opinion.
Well, I pre-ordered one of these second run Blackstone K-27s - one of the green jacketed ones. It arrived today. This is the most expensive locomotive I have ever bought, by a long long way. Previous record was $200 AUD, this cost more than double that all up. First impression, this is a good looking engine. I just ran it on a test track on the bench and when it started to chuff away I couldn't help but grin. It sounds great, it looks great. I wouldn't be able to afford many of these, but they are impressive. I've been out of the hobby for awhile and slowly creeping back towards it, accumulating items in N (my old scale), On30, and HOn3. I can see I'm going to have to build at least a small HOn3 layout to show this loco off... ;-)
