I'm no horn expert so besides looking at photos and comparing to the new BLMA horns...is there a reference that shows what horn types were used for a railroad during a timeframe? Specifically, I model SP/DRGW 1990-1996 so I'm looking to equip SDs and GPs with the right horns. I'm guessing other modelers are in the same boat?

 

There is no "horn guide" per say. Your best best is to search prototype photos.

What a great source of info, I thought I needed a K3, and it turns out it was really an all forward K3LA.
