Last sunday, our club, Sherman Hill Model RR Club was invited to take a ride on the deadhead return to Cheyenne on the invite-only Denver Post train. I think we got the better end of the deal, as the Challenger doesn't work all that hard going down grade. The 3985 had a diesel sidekick for the return trip, as the train was a heavy one with 16 cars northbound. Here's the Challenger in Cheyenne, before departing south with Cheyenne Frontier Days patrons: And here's our train approaching Speer, WY: (shot from inside the dome diner Colorado Eagle) More pics of the trip can be found here: http://www.railimages.com/gallery/album85
Hi All, Here is a photo of the station area I've been working on. My modules are based on New Lisbon, Wisconsin. Still much to do. It was also an opportunity to pose my Olympian Hiawatha Skytop in the station. <img src="http://members.aol.com/wdenton101/Station.jpg"
Way cool stuff from all. Great job everyone. Welcome to SNFF tc1, looking forward to seeing more of your work. While traveling to see some relatives on Sat. I caught this unit working in a agricultural chemical complex in rural Indiana. I was going down State Road 35 at 55 mph at the time so sorry about the poor quality. I did circle back and got a pic of her sister unit, but she doesn't appear to be doing much work these days.
I've seen some nice stuff tonight--thanks! I forget what I post from week to week, but here's two shots of the second deck, showing the type of detailing Jeanne and I are doing: And I know the Trainmasters are running short nose first, but they did sometimes get switched around that way.
GREAT work, Pete! Wow! Great work by all who've posted, and Mr. Denton, it's good to have an N scale master in the house! Welcome to Trainboard!
You may have seen some other posts in regards to our visit to Sydney N scale Club but here are a couple of pics. More pictures of Sydney N scale Club can be found by clicking on this link Sydney N scale
Colonel, Nice photos. I've been enjoying your coal train. The club layout looks very well done and coal trains are always cool!!! Next time you should put loads in one of the trains and then run them in opposite directions. Thats the way I see them here in Rochelle. Daryl

Rich - nice weathering and detailing... it never ceases to amaze me what's possible in N scale! Aren't you the guy that started the run on air hoses in N scale? Also, love that new plaque in the corner!!
