Great news Dave!! Really look forward to seeing those Maxi-IVs and some new chip gons. Great idea to go with BLMA trucks on the well sets (do the chip gons get them too?). Maybe you can convince Craig to tool up some nice 125 T trucks with 38" wheels now too. Hope this new factory comes through for you. Best, Gary
I can't wait for the Maxi-IV to arrive and the BLMA trucks on them are a huge bonus to me. They will look great in a train mixed with BLMA spine cars. :thumbs_up:
Gary, Thanks for the postive feedback. The chip gons need trucks with couplers so they will not get the BLMA ones (yet?). As far as 125 ton trucks, we have engineering drawings for our own 125 ton trucks (in fact we have 100 and 70 ton ones drawn too.) I'm not sure when we will be able to get them done but at least things are moving in the right direction again. Dave
Count me in as happy about the BLMA trucks/wheels too! Have any of the DI Maxi-IV's been released up to this point? I haven't really paid close attention as the Maxi-IV's are on the tail-end of my era. I think I'll get a BNSF maybe just to represent the "new" 53ft equipment, but I'm curious what the DI cars are like.
