Here's a photo of a 1/8 scale steam donkey (this one happened to be running off compressed air at the time) at the Great Oregon Steam-Up. Here you can see a locomotive running on the Willow Creek Railroad in the background:
Good to see all the different scenes, guys. And now I know what a steam donkey is :tb-biggrin: Bruce your landscape is looking better and better. A boston and Maine S3 crossing the just-built bridge Mike
Very impressive, gentlemen. You do very nice modelling! I see a lot of care in those images. Here is my contribution. A Union Pacific 2-10-2 is about to depart Seneca Yard.
Great scene, but where are the trains? I'm a big fan enjoying your work. How interestingly UGLY these units are.tongue:
Nothing great just a little paint color and sand/grout added to a freemoN module. I also cut the profile down on an existing module to match.
This week, inspired by the Boston and Albany 4-6-6T's, I tried to bash a reasonable facsimilie. The drivers are a little large but, I think I captured the spirit of the beast. If you look closely, you can see: a Kato Japanese Pacific, Atlas 0-8-0 and tender shells, a Concor tender truck, and various bits and pieces from my spare parts collection. Since it is not exact and the Boston and Albany wouldn't normally appear on my layout, I lettered it for my own rail road.
Running trains - the trainsheet shows no times, I operate alone. One train follows another one. But sometimes there're more than one train on the way. The Yard crew has spotted the different blocks of cars at the class tracks an there're outbound cars for WPIF in the morning. Valley Sweeper East at Harbor Jct. Plywood Local has arrived at Plywood District. Wolfgang
Allegheny & West Virginia #777 makes its way thru town after filming the movie Unstoppable. Its sister unit 767 is currently in the shop (waiting to be lettered)
Happy Halloween, all. This week's contribution - is posting of some superb models from the Sept 2010 NMRA Pacific Coast Region, Coast Division Meet: There is a bunch of other really cool models to see as well, at the web page for the Sept 2010 Meet: http://www.pcrnmra.org/coast/contest/Contest_Sept_2010.shtml Check it out, you'll like what you see. Enjoy, all!
Something I finished painting for a friends father earlier this week.... It's an HO KMT brass Bipolar. Had to regear it with a NWSL repair kit. I had to custom make the decals for the loco as no correct ones exist that I could find. I Added micro LED's for headlights and glazed the lens (not shown in the picture). Also added window glazing. The day before I finished it, MTH announced that this would be their next HO loco release.
Some great stuff this weekend! Not much here...wiring turnout decoders and installing servos. Not super fun, But the lower deck mainline turnouts are done!:tb-biggrin:
Tony, nice work; I go bipolar just looking at this, but then I do have a weak spot for early electrics and the Milwaukee... Regards, Otto
