Somebody on this board has a U shaped N scale layout that fits in a spare bedroom, has multiple levels, and has a temporary bridge to connect the 2 sides of the U.

I'm sorry that I cannot get more detailed than this, but I'd love to find the layout and see some of the pictures -- i've been scouring railimages for the past day or two and haven't managed to find it, so figured i'd ask!

    Thanks guys.

This probably isn't the one. But I cannot think of another right now. This is a very nice triple decker in N scale, done by member BCR 570. Might help with ideas anyhow?

wow, thats a great start for a few ideas -- I've got a 9x10 spare bedroom with a door and closet on one wall, giving me about 7x10 to actually work with for effective floor space. Land grant for the closet was halted by the governing body of the house (aka, she said no...)

So i'm looking for ideas -- and from another thread somebody is giving me some amazing planning assistance.

Bridges and Loops for the N scale Sand Springs Railway

That sounds a lot like my layout, I have posted photos in an album named - Bridges and Loops for the N scale Sand Springs Railway.

It is in a 10 X 11 bedroom and I have a removable bridge that spans 5 feet. Let me know if I may be of further help.

Rich -- it absolutely is yours -- thanks for chiming in -- i've been looking for inspiration of what 'can happen' in a given space -- all i see right now is a giant mess!

    Thanks!

i really like the Sand Springs layout - it has enough depth for several operators but is easily managed by a single operator. the layout looks like a railroad and that really goes a long way for a bedroom sized layout.

some of the features that i find compelling are the interchange at West Tulsa, the effective use of space in the loop - two levels of interest really makes it seem larger than it is, and the removable link for continuous running.

the scenery ain't too shabby either ;)
