Ok...I am 'practicing' making n scale fence. I am using AWS A5.18 0.023 welding wire wire for posts. I am using Bridal Veil for chainlink fencing. I just have to find a better way to attach the veil...super glue doesnt seem to want to glue it to well. I sprayed half the fence with silver after after making this small sample.

The bridal veil almost looks well enough without paint...but..I am afraid if I spray the posts FIRST...nothing will stick the veil to the paint :tb-wacky:

I have enough bridal veil and wire to make enough fence to fence in everything on the layout...LOL:tb-biggrin:

I think I am going to fence in T.H.E Yard and a few bussinesses and that it. Now back to finding a way to stick that bridal veil to those posts...hmmm

Looks great! Maybe you can just scrape off the pain in 3 small spots on the post (top, middle, bottom) and apply 3 beads of super glue to secure the "chain link" fencing.

    Looks good..

Did you happen to wash the welding wire, I would think there would be some residue left from the manufacturing process..

Wowsers...never thought of that (smacks myself) !! I think when I start the real fencing...I will use a rag soaked in iso alcohol to run it through. That may be the real reason the super glue wasnt sticking. Great tip...thnxs
