I have a Rivarossi HO scale Heisler 3 Truck Shay, it is missing the rear drive shaft that goes to the seperate motorized 3rd truck/Tender, anyone have any idea where to get one, I have called Vinnie at ConCor and he said that this model was not made by or for them.
    Any ideas please ?

Word on the street for awhile has been parts for these are hard tocome by since they were discontinued several years ago and the company was closed/merged with another company whose name escapes me right now. There was a hobby shop here in the US that specialised in these parts, but the owner passed away several years ago and they sold off all existing parts stock. Your best bet is to keep an eye out on Ebay and train shows for a donor loco. Sorry not good news I know, I have a 2 truck that I dearly love and hope to never need parts for. You may check with NWSL up in Montana, they may have a "like" drive shaft that will work.

I assume that you mean a HEISLER...Shays and Heislers were different. The driveshaft you want will be hard to find, but you may get the ball joints on the ends and the shaft material from NWSL. I would advise calling them as to availability and which ball joints (from the many they offer) will fit. I have made these before and it is not a difficult job. Good luck.

Thanks for all your replies. Oh OK, thanks, it's a 3 Truck Heisler locomotive by Rivarossi. The yokes are still on it, just need the shaft with the points on it, I could make one very easy, but figured that it would be more sellable
with the original part. I'll make one tomorrow, brass rod with a Tee on each end, no sweat. If anyone knows where this little guys can find a good home....LMK

Thanks Rob ! Wow, alot of Heislers listed, that was a link to e-bay, there must
be 15 Heislers for sale. I need to watch them to see what they end up selling for.
I ended up making a drive shaft out of brass hollow rod. Works fine !
