I'll second that. I watch GP40Xs go past my window every day with their flared radiators in MBTA colors. Of course I want mine in CP colors. I've thought about it but I just don't have a "Top 3" list of locomotives I want. The Con Cor "M1000" and "Aero Train" would be "nice to have" but I really do have enough.
With the recent arrival of GEVO's, ACe's and the immenent BNSF Dash-9's, my loco needs are largely met, so my top 3 are all freight cars: 1. NSC or Trinity 53' well cars, standalone and/or articulated. 2. Trinity 82' reefer. 3. Trinity (or Alstom?) single-hood steel coil car. This was #4 on my list. -gfh

Kato; GS-4/5 with the streamline skirting removed Bachmann; I would like to see Bachmann bring there Santa Fe Northern "particularly the body and tender" up to the level of realism or quality as the Spectrum Connie and Mountain they built in the last 7-8 years. Atlas GP 7 I know Atlas intends on bringing these out very soon. When they do I am hoping they bring them out with all the details they have drawn in there illustrations (cab shades, snow plow).
locos well for me there is nothing out there that currently exists(except in brass maybe) that would qualify as a real want, ie I would buy them now if I found them for sale. There are some it would be nice to haves, but not outright wants. For a wish list mine would be: high hood gp30 Southern Railway high hood sd40-2 Southern Railway high hood sd45 Southern Railway and if I got a fourth choice it would be a gp50 like the above.
Very cool-I obviously missed that offering. It would have to lose the sand boxes and be painted Lark Dark gray and scarlet. Well- I think this model is HO. Spookshow doesn't list it either. Thanks, Wolf
Ok, I posted my top 3 locos yesterday, but this trumps em. Since the Greenberg show on Saturday, my 12 year old has talked of nothing but us building a multilevel teisty layout like the one Jersey Central N Trak was raffling. I'd trade it all to be able to keep his interest through the drudgery of cleaning a space in the garage, and the early planning. Once we are building, hopefully he will be hooked.
