Hi Jason ! Wow, you got a good eye, I didnt catch that at all. Sure does look right though. Thanks so much Jason...I was all worked up over this piece thinking it was
an original item and going to be impossible to find. You just took a big load off, now I know I'll just have to make one like these folks did. Terrific, thanks again Jason.

I agree, that is a conversion. The only factory made DL-110 was from Hallmark. I don't know why Con-cor or Lifelike(Walthers) never offered one.

    Oh-well,
    Wolf

Yes, Jason did me a BIG favor, I would have been driving myslef crazy trying to find something that was impossilbe to find. Now I just need to find two A Units and
kit bash them into a B unit. Jason I owe lunch or something. LOL

First, just as a diclaimer, there are differences between the DL109 and 110 like window placement and such that would make a true prototype DL110 a major kitbash.

But, to get something to run that looks good, here's a couple thoughts.

You may need look a a few different scenerios than using an 'A' shell. The model in the pic isn't two DL109 shells. You can tell by the rivet strip along the roofline (straight instead of curved down). Also, using an 'A' doesn't give you enough flat side panel past the radiator (?) without some serious filing or filling. What is clear is the model is cut right at the doors. The roof may be off from that.

I would look all makes (and brands) of Alcos (FA1, FA2, PA) even going back to old Model Power locos and see what might work to fill in the missing pieces.

-SD70M-2 FEC - Preferably both schemes but if only one, the blue/yellow.

-Intermountain F7, etc. - FEC. I believe they announced these at one point but I guess the preorders didn't come in. Preferably A and B units. It still hurts a bit they did ACL in purple but only As. I need A-B-B-As people :p

    -Modern Tropicana reefers

-Tank cars done by BLMA :)

    -N&W 1218

    Sorry, more than 3.

I'd just like this in N scale:

YES! THANK YOU. N SCALE NEEDS THESE!
My SD&AE could use a pair. I want to model the transition era of 1951 but can't without DSR road switchers. (though n AS-616 would be a perfectly acceptable stand-in)

    SP Tiger Stripe please???

I saw a key 2-6-6-6 running at a train show this weekend, beautiful model. I passed on picking one up for $600 about a year ago. Still kicking myself on that one.

    My top 3:

    Key Imports 4-10-2 (late version)
    Key Imports AC-5
    Another IM AC-12

Maybe some IM SD40-2 in Mopac, MKT, and BN would be great. . .

How about a true-to-prototype PGE Rs-18? So you don't need to kitbash one.

An affordable (non-brass) version of the Milwaukee Little Joes

Another good N-scale logging/industrial locomotive to go with the Atlas shay. I'd love to see an N-scale heisler. Failing that: accurate Canadian prototype steam locomotive... something generic, like a CNR ten-wheeler would work.

My loco needs have mostly been met with the GEVO's, maybe a CP specific SD40-2 but I can live with what I have built, so that leaves freight cars, and as usual, I'm along the same lines as Gary:

    1) 53' Gunderson AP wellcars for FEC (NScaleKits?)

    2) 53' Trinity wellcars- but the singles for CP rather than the 3-unit sets (walthers has been making these in HO scale for some time now but will probably never offer them in N)

    3) 3-unit 40' Gunderson AP wellcar sets in NOKL red scheme

I could also use some Thrall 40' 5-unit articulated wellcars because it was a royal pain to try and make my own:

all intermodal stuff, but its an area where a lot of changes have been taking place that N scale has not kept up with to a great degree!

    my best,
    Jan

"I watch GP40Xs go past my window every day with their flared radiators in MBTA colors. Of course I want mine in CP colors."

Those aren't GP40Xa... they are Morrison - Knudsen rebuilds of GP40s and there is a difference though it wouldn't be all that bad if a GP40X was done since it would be a good place to start for a reasonable stand-in.

    For me it would be...
A better Consol than what Bachmann has now...
A MicroTrains heavyweight Pullman observation that could double as a business car...
And a more modern 4-6-0 so that I won't have to kitbash the new Bachmann Ten Wheeler... though I likely will kitbash it anyways.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Key Imports Q2.

OK, so we're talking existing tooling and either new paint or reissue, right? (and, didn't say it had to be a loco)

    1. Kato SP AC4400 (mostly existing tooling)
    2. Kato El Cap Transition Coaches in Amtrak Ph.IV (for Heartland Flyer)
    3. FVM RD-4 Coal Hoppers in TXUX "Silver/Black Rotary End" scheme.

    Right now,

    1. CF-7... Anytime would be grand. I need 4..

    2. MP15AC. I know a couple of Soo modelers that would need life support.

    3. SW1500. Let's make a switcher that was pretty much everywhere..

    Some others...

    4. Alco switchers. I just want to watch guys faint on-line.

    5. Gensets. Throw the modern guys a bone for switcher power.

    6. PC&F 50' Beer cars. No way the average SP modeler can have enough. I'll bet they get released right after I get the mold made for the one I'm working on.

    7. 68' Bulkhead flatcars, like the TTPX series.. They run everywhere hauling everything.

I could think of more, but it's late..
