Has anyone ever had any luck reaching Troy at JnJ on the phone number they supply on the web site ? His answering machine says "We are usually here between 6 and 10 Pm Central Standard Time" Unfortunetly, he never answers and it takes a while (weeks) to return my call. Is this normal or is it he may be out of town alot doing shows etc ? I really like his products but when I cannot reach him I wonder if the items I want are selling out and then when I do reach him, the items are gone. Kind of frustrating. fatalxsunrider43
Last I knew he was working full time at a job with a commute of an hour+ each way...not sure if that is still the case.
Yes, I suppose that is quite possible. Here's the thing. When I have the funds to purchase things, I am unable to reach him. By the time I do reach him, the funds are gone and I cannot purchase until later. I would think the faster you respond to customers, the more sales you'd get. But then again, he might just be busy as all get out and is unable to respond quickly. fatalxsunrider43
I honestly have no idea about Troy. Sadly, he isn't the only one that is hard to get a hold of. I waited the better part of 2 months before I could talk to someone at ConCor. Not sure what's happening there but customers are taking a back seat to other issues. Understaffed, undermanned I don't really know but this tendency is also true... of a greater number of smaller companies. I expect to wait another month or two before I actually see what I ordered...if indeed the order can be filled. Last I heard, the passenger cars I wanted are out of stock. On the other hand woo woo woo Kleins, they've been quick to fill my orders and the line of communication is always open. They've been good to me and I suspect every customer gets the same treatment. The same can be said of Fifers. Good folks who take care of their prized customers. Not to mention that it is extremely easy to order items from woo woo woo Kleins and Fifers. Click, add to shopping cart, recalculate, add shipping and etc. No worries about getting the order number right. About as automated and automatic as you can get it. Seems to me, closing the door to communication and the time lapse between getting a order filled...extending into months, spells...eventual and certain death of said mom and pop operations. Kind of sad.
Shoot him an email at this address, jnjtrains@dwx.com Just received an message from him today. He usually replies to my emails within 3 days. Hope this helps.
If you try calling try late in the evening because as stated above he does work a fulltime job and JnJ is a part time thing for him. But he does answer up in the evenings. I've done just that.:tb-cool:
Guys- Each and every time there is a complaint or inquiry about a retailer, it deteriorates into a brawl with people doing hatchet jobs on some or others pushing other retailers. Please refrain from doing so. Contact your supplier by e-mail. If no response that suits you, go elsewhere. We have a list of advertisers here. Try one or more until you find a comfortable fit. I really don't want to see editing or a lock here. It only aggravates a lot of people before and after a lock or edit occurs.
Hey Rick ! Call 1-888-255-7826, usually Donna will answer and she is very nice and helpful. Vinnie is pretty good too, but is quite busy most of the time. I called and talk to them on Tuesday and they said they had 300+ orders they were dealing with and had to get them out before Christmas. So, try calling and talk to Donna, she's a sweetie. I have always been extra nice over the phone and she has responded to that, so keep that in mind. fatalxsunrider43
Everytime I call in the evening hours I just get the recording. I did e-mail him lastnite in the hope of getting somekind of reply. I dont want to be a pain in his ear but I would like to order these two shells before all my December funny money is gone. fatalxsunrider43
Hi Jason ! Good idea, and I did try just that lastnite, I just hope he will respond soon. Thanks for your suggestions. fatalxsunrider43
If phone calls and emails fail to achieve the desired results, there is nothing which can be stated here which will change that situation. A disappointment? Yes. But sometimes it turns out that way. How any other shop handles customer responses is not helpful, unless they handle these very same specific products. So let's please leave such references out. Boxcab E50
Yes, patience is going to be the best thing. It is a very busy time of the year. I think everyone likes Troy and no one would bash him, so we'll just leave it be and wait for his reply. Thread closed please. fatalxsunrdier43
Hopefully with this being a Friday, he'll get back to you tonight. Troy can somethimes take a couple days, but you should have no problem getting everything you need. Jason
