Hoo-eh? if anything - Canadian and all. Nothing exciting to tell, really.

I just have a simple oval that I started before leaving for my last tour, worked on while here then (ballast and scenery), improved a bit before coming back here, and am continuing some scenic work in the little time and space available. The layout, such as it is, is intended to be the two end sections of an eventually-larger sectional layout. The two current sections total twenty-four by thirty-nine inches when assembled, store top-to-top bolted together, and fit fairly snugly into one of the largish heavy-duty packing cases (Pelican cases) with which we are issued. The legs similarly come apart and just barely fit inside as well, yet give me an approximately four-foot six-inch layout height max or three-foot six-inch height at the lower setting.

I saw the MTL CN GP9s in a shop a couple of months before coming here last time and really, really tried very, very, very hard to avoid getting into yet another scale but the notion of actually running a layout here was too silly to pass up, plus they were so exquisitely charming.

I know that others have done some modelling over here, but do not know if anybody else has actually brought or built a layout.

Ordering small things by mail was much more convenient than large things, too (thanks Anthony).

Mark, thats probably the biggest advantage of z. A very small layout in N scale can be a good size layout in Z.

Hans/Rob do you have any idea when you will be doing another run of the TTX cars or any other road names?
Still looking forward to the 89' flats

    Hi Mike,

Yes, more TTX (new road numbers) and CP (new road numbers too)

Also waiting on containers from 2nd run of well cars so we can produce the 89' flats. 89' flats will be in both TTX Yellow and "Trailer Train" brown. Flats will also come with removable trailer stands/tounge in both up and down position, as well as two 40' containers or 1x 48' or 1x 53' containers. No plans to make trailers for them at this time.

    Expect well cars in October.

    Enjoy!
