I was doing CSX had some issues with that so i'm doing the BN which i know well as i worked for them in the late 80's on BN Mechanized tie gang 6 i was the one laying out and squaring the fish plates on my side of the ties yee haw seen enough of those in my day anways back on topic here are some units that i'm working on that were ex Csx and now they are going to be BN tbhe first is BN F&a 720 in the green only and i'm going to be placing the plow with a new one that isn't nothched and then here is the 1639 in green A former NP gp7 with D/B getting there and then here are 2 shots of the 1641 in progress note the steam bell on the short hood an NP trademark so now i'll have to post the last pic from this run on the next post as 4 pics per post also please excuse the cell camera pics but my sister inlaw has my digital camera for the holidays
MY BN roster here is the 2216 the last of the GN GP30's and if you notice the green did darken up once i put the black on so here is the 2216 i have to some work around the battery box as i broke the little pieces where the handrails go at front more pics soon 5 more GP30's and 6 GP38's an Nw2 an Sw9 an Sw1200 2 GP9TT's so stay tuned:tb-biggrin::tb-cool:
Too cool!! I modelled the BN in N-scale, early 70's era, before going to Z-scale and doing the Milwaukee Road in the 60's!
Those units look good. I have been wanting to do a BN 2211. This unit was wrecked or shopped at one point and had a GP 35 cab installed on it. It looked like an odd ball not only for that reason but also because the windows on the side of the cab were different as well. I just wish I could find photos of her after her accident.
This discussion has been had on one of the forums before, and pictures were around. I also think one of the BN annuals has pics.
I have some roster shots of the BN 2211 after the accident. Even on a CD waiting for me to work on. I'll try to post them by the end of the week. Until then, here is the 2211 beside a regular BN GP35 for comparison that I already had ready. Brian Ambrose
