Thanks Tooter. I think I have the right coupler conversion kit. It looks like one end will pop right out after removing a screw but I just cant figure out the other end. I was told that the coupler conversion was an easy process as long as you have 3 hands. Here is a pic along with my other logging critters. Sorry the pic quality is not the best. The shay gives a good size comparison. And it sure does run great.
Hi brown, What a beautifully realistic setting! Wow... you can't even tell that it's N gauge. That's the mark of good modelling when it's so cohesive you can't tell what size the trains are. Is that tunnel in the background abandoned? And is that unusual one third from the left an engine or a car? Great work, and really cool engines! Greg
Dean- Ha ha ha... If you listen carefully, at the end of it there is a bang heard. That is a Christmas decoration my wife had hanging in our kitchen making a timely plunge to the floor! Boxcab E50
Thanks Greg for the kind comments and for resizing the photo. One of these days I will figure that out. The loco you asked about is a Climax that I built from a kit from the attached site:Randgust Home Terminal You guys in larger scales seem to have more critters available but I guess that's the price I pay. Not only is the tunnel abandoned, but now this whole layout is abandoned. It was actually my first try at N scale and I had some fatal errors with the track work--inside that tunnel was one of them. So I reworked the trackplan and started from scratch. the scenery is not that far along now.
Hi brown, It resized automatically... I just copied the properties of your pic and used the Insert Image feature on the header. Thanks, that's an interesting loco. The website mentioned the ebay seller "plazajapan". I always look at their fascinating products for sale even if it's N gauge. It looks super... The texture of the terrain is exquisite. You have a good touch. Greg
