I just finished this scratchbuilt cantilever signal and wanted to show it off long with seeing some others. So, post 'em if you got 'em!

As viewed from coming down the hill. System operates off a Logic Rail Grade Crossing Pro, which also drives a Tortoise for the gate arms...

As viewed from accross the tracks. The signal on the left in the foreground is also scratchbuilt. The signals with gates are stock NJI...

Lights on the gates is the next project.

that's looks great! But I think I'm more interested in how you got your road to look so realistic.

This is an old shot, but the installation is the same:

Here's the video of the gates and digital sound system in action:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km60IcCQ40Y

That's a basic set of NJ flashers, scratchbuilt gates, Walthers flasher circuit, two Tortises driving the gates, and a Radio Shack digital recorder system with the speaker hidden in the hotel behind the crossing.

    It's all good! :D

Thanks! The road coming down the hill I did years ago and I think was a thin coat of Fix-All over 1/4" plywood. Where it crosses the tracks and into town is newer and was made with Woodlans Scenics "smooth-It" tinted with "Top Coat". The striping was made by masking and airbrushing on Polly Scale water-based paints in several light passes. The cracks are made by black Sharpie.
