Your two Up and coming Engineers are just Precious. I know they make you and Robin's day. Thanks for sharing Mike; definitely enjoyed Glen
Mike, That's cool. They look a little more in tune to what is going on than my two grandsons that you met. They really enjoyed seeing your layout and mention it occasionally. Jack and Shaun learned to control my layout track with the Aristo Craft throttles. Since buying the NCE set, I have not taught the DCC concept yet. Now is the age for them ( at 5 & 7 ) to learn to respect the layout and equipment. I am going to have them do some scenery work as soon as it warms up a bit. I will have them smear diluted white glue and real sand on my mountains. Think they will like playing in that mud? I like your idea of each having their own train and the under layout cabinet is great. May try that. Nice video. Say hello to Robin. Carl sowell
Thanks Glen and Carl. Carl , he likes to re-arrage things on his layout at home but he doesn't seem to intrested on scenery but I was shocked at how fast he picked up the DCC and you only usually have to show him once. You need to bring the guys back up some day! Thanks , Mike & Robin
Four Very Fortunate People! Mike & Robin - you have two very delightful Grandkids and what a break for them that they have you. The hobby aside, the love and warmth of the video really grabbed me. Thanks for sharing it. Don
Thanks Don , Hope you are well and we really enjoy them but I have recieved a cold likely due to them having it , but you just can't resist them. Mike
That was great Mike! I really was impressed with them knowing how to run the trains and the turntable. Let's hope they will always love this hobby. Did they take control of their engines or did you set that up for them? Craig
Gavin (the older one) is able to select his locomotive and a couple more sessions and he will be able to set up double heads. Thanks , Mike
