Red Caboose 62' insulated boxcars coupler distance

    I've just got some of the Red Caboose 62ft insulated boxcars; and the 'gap' between them looks a bit too big to my untrained eye. If so is body mounting a solution? and any suggestions as to which couplers to use would be much appreciated.

    I've tried to attach a couple of pictures so hope it works

    Naw. That distance is correct. Cushion coupler pockets.

    I have several of these and to my eye they do look a little father apart then the ones I deal with every day at work.

    For generic modelers, I would say that it's perfecty fine. :)

    I agree with Kevin they do look a little farther apart than prototypes. Also look like more distance than models:

    On the real ones the whole pocket actually slides forward and back as well as the coupler. I think on the model they went for a 'in the middle' look. I have several of these and think they look good and give the impression of the 'cushioned' coupler. :)
