Thank you Paul for the praise. I enjoy making these buildings. What I do is use a kitbash style of making these buildings. I save building parts from photos that I find on line, then use these walls, doors, windows, signs ect and put them together to make a building. tkat

    Greetings,
I need some advice on selecting a printer for card stock projects. I would like to incorporate some card stock structures in my n scale layout. The examples members have posted in this section look fantastic, I'm curious how nice of a printer do I need if I want to purchase the CDs and downloads from merchants like Clever Models??? I'm in the process of shopping for a new printer. I would like to hear from those with experience.
Is it realistic for me to print them myself or should I simply plan on purchasing the printed cardstock? thanks in advance - Adam

I use an Epson 635. Low cost but printing is sharp and clear.

Card is fine medium for modelling...see post 6

Card is a fine medium to use, carbon-friendly, recyclable and subtle in effect. I find a lot of textured plastic brick and stone sheets have unrealistically deep mortar lines and are too textured.

The above are Scalescenes papers on cardboard recycled from cereal packets, old calendars and packaging, a few indented stones and bricks here and there and your mind is fooled into thinking the whole surface is textured....

I just printed a sheet of sewer covers, doors, etc. Thanks and when I apply them to the layout, I'll post some photos! Gerry S.
