did the circus train in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade have a Giraffe car? I can't remember but I thought it did ...

Awwww, unpainted gy-raffes is a deal breaker for me. Plus their necks are awfully thick - they must be bodybuilder giraffes. For me, it's back to the Preiser ones in a stock car to imitate the Lionel car. AND add a duck-for-tunnels gizmo - that's essential.

BTW 1:1 giraffes can fold up their legs to lie down like horses and their necks are pretty flexible. They should fit quite nicely in standard cars.

Remember the Lionel missile target cars - N Scale Collector convention car IIRC? And the 6464 cars:

Considering some of the etched-brass artistry I've seen around this forum and in N in general, I'd think that would be the ideal media to do N scale vintage circus wagons in. You need that lacy bar effect. Chunky plastic would be too expensive to tool and still look like plastic.

Now that would be great fun. I could even get into that for building kits.

Quick, somebody get Bob Knight a weekend trip up to the Circus World Museum in Baraboo, and don't let him come back until he is thoroughly awed.

We could use some of the cars too, the Warren and Mt. Vernon.and. and...

You can 'sorta' do a current RB B&B train or a James Strates Shows with trucks and passenger cars and intermodal flats, but nothing comes close to a vintage train in N that I've seen.

I can appreciate MT's need to do something with leftover cars (apparently in this case, lots of Hart gondolas) .... but the whole circus thing is just really not there.

Not to take this in a totally different direction.... But microtrains did a 4-4-0 steamer to pull this thing. What the heck??? Anyone getting one, could it mean a nice DCC 4-4-0 is imminent?m DOH! Just read the fine print! Produced by Model Power.... false alarm.
And now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

An operating Pooper Scooper combo would set this idea off, Giraffe drops one, following clown car scoops it up, would just add to the BS.
